Garador is owned and run by Johan and Biani vd Berg, assisted by an excellent team of admin staff, sales persons, installers and technical staff.

We are in the business of manufacturing, supplying, sourcing, installing, automating, maintaining and repairing garage and home doors. This have been our focus since Garador was founded.

Through our years of manufacturing experience we have tried many substitutes for Meranti Timber, but in our opinion Meranti is still the most suitable for South African conditions, giving excellent door stability, durability and a longer lifespan.

We only use selected kiln dried Meranti imported from Malaysia and Indonesia. There are many species of Meranti from various regions and the species vary in colour and grain. At Garador we do our best to colour match your door's wood.

Since Meranti is a natural product each piece of wood has its own characteristics (part of the beauty) which makes your door unique. Meranti will vary its colour after treatment and exposure to the elements according to its characteristics. To enhance the beauty of your door and maintain your guarantee, your door needs to be oiled on a regular basis with a good quality oil sealer.

Initially we only supplied to the building trade, but now also individual home owners may benefit from our economies of scale and experience.

Our main area of service is within Gauteng, although we have installed many doors in the NorthWest Province as well.
